About Ken Armstrong

Ken has over three decades of experience in insurance, risk management, and employer/employee benefits administration. He is responsible for oversight and direction in commercial industry risk management for accounts where an in-depth understanding of the public health, disability, and workers’ compensation insurance markets is required.
His risk management approach also applies to audit and gap analysis in regards to your commercial property liability programs and employer benefits liability exposures, providing unique administration ideas for your benefits program.
He specifically provides oversight and direction in the areas of contract workers law, government programs, and audit liability where clients need clarification and reduction in their exposure and a harmonizing with their insurance and risk management benefit programs. Ken’s current and past corporate positions include being an Account Executive with Nacora International Insurance Brokers Ltd since 2002, President of Ken Armstrong Insurance & Financial Services since 2004, and President of Lampp Holdings since 1989. Ken also sits on the broker advisory board of the largest provider of income replacement programs in Canada, and regularly speaks at broker events.
From 1983 to 2002, Ken has held various board of directors positions at a Southwestern insurance brokerage, growing an independent brokerage from one office to several and going public in late 90’s.
Ken also volunteers his time to give back to his community in various ways including serving as President of the Milton Lawn Bowling Club for 19+ years, Director of the Ontario Curling Tour from 1990 to 2002, and Executive Liaison for The Travelers Curling Club Canadian Championships from 2009 to2015, assisting in raising over $400,000 for the Canadian Paraplegic Association.
In Ken’s leisure time, he continues to enjoy and financially support the 3 sports of his life: 5 Ontario Curling championships, 2 Ontario Lawn Bowling championships, plus 1 Ontario Baseball Championship. His most memorable accomplishment was coaching the Finnish Men’s Curling Team at the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, USA and at the European Curling Championships in Helsinki in 2001.
